A political campaign is an organized effort that seeks to influence the decision making process within another specific group. Political campaign often refers to as electoral campaign in a democracy in which these representatives are elected.

- Information campaign -an Information campaign is a political campaign designed to raise public awareness aimed at winning elections and it works at a low cost, such as:

Traditional Techniques:-
- Canvassing-Canvassing is the systematic initiation of direct contact with individual persons, commonly used during political campaigns.
- Election litter – Election litter is a term used by some National and Subnational governments to describe the unlawful erection of political advertising on private residences or property owned by the local governments.
- Election promise- Election promise is a promise or guarantee made to the public by a candidate or a political party who istrying to win an election.
- Husting - Husting may refer to any event such as speeches or debates, during election campaign where one or more of the representative candidates are present.
- Lawn signs- Lawn signs are small advertising signs which can be placed on a street facing lawn or else where on a property to express the support for political party on an election by the property owner.
- Micro targeting – This is used by political parties and in election campaign. This is a direct marketing data mining technique that involves predictive market.
